Horseshoe Falls, Ontario, Canada, 1992
silver gelatin print
A classically-trained photographer, Davis travels globally with a large-format camera in search of
landscapes that record the majesty of our precious resources. This view, homage to both the great 19th century photographer - adventurers as well as to the Hudson River School painters, stills the great waterfall for our pleasure, but does not tame its power. Davis’ exquisite toned silver print creates a contemplative space for our consideration.
